HARMAN Acquires Cipia’s Intelligent Sensing Assets

HARMAN International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has announced the acquisition of assets from Cipia, a leading provider of AI-powered driver and occupant monitoring solutions. This strategic move further strengthens HARMAN’s in-cabin sensing capabilities, enhancing safety and personalization across global automotive platforms. Cipia’s advanced technologies are already integrated into HARMAN’s award-winning Ready Care product line, and this acquisition will accelerate the development of next-generation intelligent cockpit solutions.

Automobility has been proud to feature Cipia as part of our EXCELerate portfolio, helping the team connect with key partners and investors. This transaction highlights the strong strategic value of our curated portfolio companies, which bring differentiated solutions aligned with our “Internet of Mobility” thesis.

This marks yet another validation of Automobility’s track record in identifying and scaling leading technology innovators in the mobility ecosystem.

Please contact us at info@automobility.io if you would like further information on this deal or to learn more about other Auto & Mobility investment opportunities from our EXCELerate pipeline.
