Ford Connects with AMP to Power its Energy Transition

In a move that signals the critical importance of “Smart Energy Management” solutions in the transition to electric mobility, Ford Motor Company has completed the acquisition of AMP [Auto Motive Power], an Automobility EXCELerate portfolio company.

Automobility’s journey with AMP and its Founder and CEO Anil Paryani began nearly 5 years ago, with our first in-person meeting happening at CES Las Vegas in January 2019.

Since that time, Automobility has supported AMP in an advisory role, helping the team make connections with business partners and investors, including an initial introduction to Fontinalis Partners, a venture capital firm that is closely affiliated to Ford Motor Company through its namesake family. Their initial seed investment in AMP closed in early 2021.

Automobility Supports AMP in their Investment Round

As a Smart Energy Management solutions provider, AMP provides a critical link between the electric vehicle battery management solution and the charging infrastructure, providing full-stack hardware and software solutions to enable smart charging and vehicle-to-grid intelligence.

Automobility was created in 2017 with a mission to help clients “To Build and Profit from the Future of Mobility”, and it is very rewarding to be a small part of the journey leading to this marriage among two of our most important clients.

Automobility curates compelling startups and new technology investment ideas which fit our “Internet of Mobility” thesis, and actively promotes these opportunities to strategic and financial investors around the world.
