Bill Russo

Founder & CEO of AUTOMOBILITY. IO

Bill Russo is the Shanghai-based founder and CEO of Automobility Limited, a strategy and investment advisory firm helping its clients to create the future of mobility.

His over 40 years of experience include 15 years as an automotive executive, and nearly 12 years in the electronics and information technology industries. He has lived and worked in China since 2004, having formerly led the NorthEast Asia business at Chrysler.

He has worked as a board member, advisor and consultant for numerous multinational and local Chinese firms in the formulation and implementation of their global market and product and business strategies.

n his current role, Bill advises startups, corporations and investors on how to maximize their participation in China’s Automobility Revolution. Bill was previously the regional head of Chrysler in North East Asia.

Bill is also currently serving as the chair of the Automotive Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

James Chai

Assistant Chairman, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Sub-Council

James Chai was born in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia.  He is a MS degree holder, is currently the Assistant Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Sub-Council. Prior to that, Mr. Chai had successively held various technical and management positions in China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, Mercedes Benz Beijing Liaison Office, Fiat Auto China Rep. Office and ASIMCO Technologies Co., Ltd. Mr. Chai has over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He is the author of both Chinese and English versions of the book “Autonomous Driving Changes the Future”. He studied in the Department of Automotive Engineering at Tsinghua University and the Business School at Colorado State University in the United States.

Tu Le

Managing Director of Sino Auto Insights

Tu Le is the Managing Director of Sino Auto Insights, a management consultancy with expertise in the mobility sector. He is the co-host of the weekly ‘China EVs & More’ podcast and co-organizer of the annual MOBILIT/E Conference. Tu Le is also the author of the SAI Newsletter, a weekly round up & analysis of the most important news coming out of the EV/AV & mobility space. In addition, he is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at TechTown Detroit for Mobility Innovation. He is the globally recognized subject matter expert in the EV/AV & mobility sectors by respected media outlets including such as Fortune, CNN, WSJ, and etc.

Tu Le formerly worked in Detroit, Silicon Valley and Shanghai in the automotive & high tech sectors for companies.

Nick Lai

Head of Asia Auto Research at J.P. Morgan
Nick Lai is Head of J.P. Morgan’s Asia Autos Research team. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2004 as the SMid-Cap analyst for the Greater China market. Nick has been consistently ranked by Institutional Investor and AsiaMoney since 2003. Nick became Head of Taiwan Research in 2008 and moved to Hong Kong in 2013 after he assumed responsibility for Asia Autos. Nick has an MBA from the University of Cambridge and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
