AmCham Shanghai Automotive Committee invites you to this year’s kick-off event Look Back, Look Ahead – Automotive Industry Outlook in 2025 & Beyond on Tuesday, January 21, from 8:45a.m. -11:00 a.m., in the AmCham Shanghai Conference Room.

In this session, our expert speakers will review the 2024 sales results and discuss the new trends and policies shaping the future of the automotive industry. A recap of key trends observed at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas will be provided. In addition, the session will also include a market monthly briefing for last December provided by Bill Russo, Chair of AmCham Shanghai Auto Committee.

Bill Russo

Founder & CEO of Automobility Limited
Bill Russo is the Shanghai-based founder and CEO of Automobility Limited, a strategy and investment advisory firm helping its clients to create the future of mobility. His over 35 years of experience include 15 years as an automotive executive in China and Asia and nearly 12 years in the electronics and information technology industries. He has worked as an advisor and consultant for numerous multinational and local Chinese firms in the formulation and implementation of their global market and product strategies. Bill is also currently serving as the chair of the Automotive Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. In his current role, Bill advises startups, corporations and investors on how to maximize their participation in China’s Automobility Revolution. Bill was previously the regional head of Chrysler in North East Asia.
Lei XING
Co-host at China EVs & More Podcast

Lei Xing is a co-host of the China EVs & More Podcast, independent industry analyst/consultant and EV/AV/mobility enthusiast.

In his previous role as chief editor of China Automotive Review based in Beijing, Lei covered the Chinese auto industry for two decades through various newsletters, the only tabloid magazine in English exclusively focused on the Chinese auto market, conferences and consulting services. Over the years, Lei has interviewed numerous CEOs of both Chinese and global automakers and is well connected throughout the industry.

Lei has Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from Babson College. He is currently based in Massachusetts in the U.S.

Huaibin Lin

Head of China Light Vehicle Sales Forecast, Automotive at S&P Global Mobility

Huaibin Lin is the Head of China Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting. He has 19+ years experience in automotive industry, including 3+ years in Chery Automobile International and 16+ years in S&P Global Mobility. He has played a leading or supportive role in workshops and consulting projects for major OEMs and tier-1/tier-2 suppliers. He also speaks on China auto industry in S&P Global Mobility conferences in Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris and Detroit.Huaibin holds an MSC degree (full scholarship) in Financial Economics from Norwegian School of Management, Norway and B.S in Auditing from Xiamen University, China. He is fluent in Chinese (Native) and English.
