18 Feb Inspektlabs Partners with Mitchell for Insurance Claims & Repair

Last year, Inspektlabs, a computer vision technology platform for the automated inspection of cars, claimed its collaboration with Mitchell, a provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the Property & Casualty (P&C) claims and Collision Repair industries. Using Mitchell’s advanced claims automation solution, Mitchell Intelligent Estimating, with Inspektlabs’ best-in-class artificial intelligence (AI), insurers can automatically generate an appraisal from photos or videos of collision-damaged vehicles.

Mitchell processes more than 50 million transactions a year for 20K collision repair facilities and 300 insurers in North America. By combining the AI output from Inspektlabs with repair data from the Mitchell platform, a detailed repair estimate will be generated for insurers, car auction players, car leasing players and body shops.

Inspektlabs’ solution captures and processes photos or videos of damaged vehicles in real time using AI to generate a damage assessment report. “Our AI supports both photo- and video-based inspections, allowing policyholders to quickly document the damage and helping appraisers accurately assess it,” said Devesh Trivedi, CEO at Inspektlabs.
