20 Aug Neolix Closes Series B Round led by SoftBank Ventures Asia
On Aug 18, Neolix, a Chinese autonomous logistics solutions provider of modular vehiclescustomized to diverse use cases, announced that it had closed a new round of funding in early 2021 to raise an undisclosed multimillion-dollar investment amount. The fresh financing round was co-led by China Capital Investment Group and SoftBank Ventures Asia. SoftBank has become the latest investor in Neolix, as the Japanese venture capital firm looks for winners in China’s techstart-up space.
Neolix will use the new funds to broaden its range of services and extend the reach of its vehicle network to more local and global markets. The investment comes after the company secured its first batch of on-road licenses for its autonomous delivery vehicles in Beijing’s high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone in May. To date, Neolix has deployed and delivered nearly 1,000 autonomous vehicles in nine countries and over 30 cities worldwide, with a cumulative safe-driving mileage of over 1.3 million kilometers.
Automobility Ltd is proud to hear that its portfolio company Neolix has attracted the backing by SoftBank, a leading funder of ambitious Chinese companies, which allows the startup to enter its ecosystem.
